Which charger is right for you?
Most homes use a 7kW single-phase unit which adds around 25 miles of range per hour. Businesses and homes with three-phase supplies can benefit from a 22kW unit. We work with tethered and untethered charge points from trusted brands (including Vorsprung, Ohme, Zappi and Hypervolt), and help you choose based on your vehicle, driveway layout and load requirements.
How the install works
A free site survey checks your incoming supply, main fuse rating, earthing arrangement and cable routing. On the day we install a dedicated circuit from the consumer unit, fit the charger, terminate and test, then commission it live to your vehicle. All installs comply with BS 7671, the IET Code of Practice for EV charging, and are notified where required.
Load management and earthing
Where the main fuse can't take a full 7kW load, we can add load-balancing devices such as the Matt:e or a CT clamp so the charger throttles automatically. Earthing for EV chargers is more demanding than a standard socket — we install PEN-fault detection devices (or earth rods) as needed to comply with the latest regulations.
